Alysdexia: Problem with interpretations of both Scriptures' S·dom

http://classic.net.bible.org/bible.php?book=Gen&chapter=19

The original story in its original language doesn't specify mating or the sex of each party. Collective plurals and some agents often default to the masculine declension, so the two or three messengers were written in the masculine plural; the men, also written in masculine, of Sodom refer to mankind. No verse distinguishes them as wapmen with women. The verb they use only means "know", which Lot said would be bad of these messengers. How could one literally say "know" without a sexual connotation? The usual circumlocution for "mate with" is "go into", which the chapter doesn't use. The "know" could mean anything: a talk, a beating, a spying. And as the men of Sodom could be either sex, it makes no sense to single out males or females.

Likewise in the short sequel Lut's collective are written in the masculine but could refer to anyone: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D9%82%D9%88%D9%85#Etymology_2. Thus, 27:55 could mean only females are to be sexual objects, not males.
In [[Qur'an|Qur'anic]] verses 21:91 and 66:12, [[Allah]] says that he breathed into Maryam's ([[Mary]]'s) vagina in order to conceive Isa (the Islamic [[Jesus|Jesus]]). When looking at the tafsirs we find that Allah did this by sending the Angel Jibreel ([[Gabriel]]) to complete this task. The word "Farj" is used in these verses to indicate where Allah/Jibreel blew, and Farj means "vagina." The verse uses "Farjaha" which means "her vagina."
{{quote ||
'''Asad:''' AND [remember] her who guarded her chastity, whereupon We breathed into her of Our spirit [This allegorical expression, used here with reference to Mary's conception of Jesus, has been widely - and erroneously - interpreted as relating specifically to his birth. As a matter of fact, the Quran uses the same expression in three other places with reference to the creation of man in general - namely in 15:29 and 38:72, "when I have formed him... and breathed into him of My spirit" and in 32:9, "and thereupon He forms [lit., "formed"] him fully and breathes [lit., "breathed"] into him of His spirit". In particular, the passage of which the last-quoted phrase is a part (i.e., 32:7 - 9) makes it abundantly and explicitly clear that God "breathes of His spirit" into every human being. Commenting on the verse under consideration, Zamakhshari states that "the breathing of the spirit [of God] into a body signifies the endowing it with life": an explanation with, which Razi concurs. (In this connection, see also note on 4:171.) '''As for the description of Mary as allati ahsanat farjaha, idiomatically denoting "one who guarded her chastity" (lit,, "her private parts")''' it is to be borne in mind that the term ihsan - lit., "[one's] being fortified [against any danger or evil]" - has the tropical meaning of "abstinence from what is unlawful or reprehen sible" (Taj al-Arus), and especially from illicit sexual intercourse, and is applied to a man as well as a woman: thus, for instance, the terms muhsan and muhsanah are used elsewhere in the Quran to describe, respectively, a man or a woman who is "fortified [by marriage] against unchastity". Hence, the expression allati ahsanat farjaha, occurring in the above verse as well as in 66:12 with reference to Mary, is but meant to stress her outstanding chastity and complete abstinence, in thought as well as in deed, from anything unlawful or morally reprehensible: in other words, a rejection of the calumny (referred to in 4:156 and obliquely alluded to in 19:27 - 28) that the birth of Jesus was the result of an "illicit union".] and caused her, together with her son, to become a symbol [of Our grace] unto all people.
Many translators of these verses were likely embarassed to translate the word into its real meaning so they used alternate and sometimes widely varying meanings that appeared more 'holy' such as seen in the following versions:
* Yusuf Ali: ''"who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit"'' <ref name="pervert1"/>
* Hilali/Khan: ''"the daughter of Imran who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (the sleeve of her shirt or her garment) through Our Rooh"'' <ref name="pervert1"/>
====Qur'an 21:91====
{{quote ||
'''Asad:''' AND [remember] her who guarded her chastity, whereupon We breathed into her of Our spirit [This allegorical expression, used here with reference to Mary's conception of Jesus, has been widely - and erroneously - interpreted as relating specifically to his birth. As a matter of fact, the Quran uses the same expression in three other places with reference to the creation of man in general - namely in 15:29 and 38:72, "when I have formed him... and breathed into him of My spirit" and in 32:9, "and thereupon He forms [lit., "formed"] him fully and breathes [lit., "breathed"] into him of His spirit". In particular, the passage of which the last-quoted phrase is a part (i.e., 32:7 - 9) makes it abundantly and explicitly clear that God "breathes of His spirit" into every human being. Commenting on the verse under consideration, Zamakhshari states that "the breathing of the spirit [of God] into a body signifies the endowing it with life": an explanation with, which Razi concurs. (In this connection, see also note on 4:171.) '''As for the description of Mary as allati ahsanat farjaha, idiomatically denoting "one who guarded her chastity" (lit,, "her private parts")''' it is to be borne in mind that the term ihsan - lit., "[one's] being fortified [against any danger or evil]" - has the tropical meaning of "abstinence from what is unlawful or reprehen sible" (Taj al-Arus), and especially from illicit sexual intercourse, and is applied to a man as well as a woman: thus, for instance, the terms muhsan and muhsanah are used elsewhere in the Quran to describe, respectively, a man or a woman who is "fortified [by marriage] against unchastity". Hence, the expression allati ahsanat farjaha, occurring in the above verse as well as in 66:12 with reference to Mary, is but meant to stress her outstanding chastity and complete abstinence, in thought as well as in deed, from anything unlawful or morally reprehensible: in other words, a rejection of the calumny (referred to in 4:156 and obliquely alluded to in 19:27 - 28) that the birth of Jesus was the result of an "illicit union".] and caused her, together with her son, to become a symbol [of Our grace] unto all people. [For my rendering of the term ayah as "symbol", see surah 17:1 and surah 19:21.]<ref>{{cite web|url= http://www.alim.org/library/quran/ayah/compare/21/91/pdf/Allah%20accepted%20the%20prayers%20and%20blessed%20Prophets%20Isma%60il,%20Zulkifl,%20Yunus,%20Zakariya%20and%20also%20blessed%20Maryem|title= The Message of the Qur'an|publisher= Dar al-Andalus Ltd, 3 Library Ramp, Gibraltar|author= Muhammad Asad|date= 1980|archiveurl= http://www.webcitation.org/query?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.alim.org%2Flibrary%2Fquran%2Fayah%2Fcompare%2F21%2F91%2Fpdf%2FAllah%2520accepted%2520the%2520prayers%2520and%2520blessed%2520Prophets%2520Isma%2560il%2C%2520Zulkifl%2C%2520Yunus%2C%2520Zakariya%2520and%2520also%2520blessed%2520Maryem&date=2013-07-22|deadurl=no}}</ref>}}

{{shortcut|[[WIPG]]}}
Welcome to [[WikiIslam]], the online resource on [[Islam]].
__TOC__
==Acceptable Contributions==

In general, content on WikiIslam should:

# be based on facts, references and Islamic sources
# not support any kind of fringe theories unsupported by the majority of evidence found in recognized translations of the Qur'an, hadith and quotations from Islamic scholars.
# be related to criticism of Islam. We don't accept articles of a political nature.
# free from vulgar, offensive, or slang language. The only exceptions being the necessary translation of an Islamic word/phrase or possibly an article in the [[:Category:Humor|Humor]] category
# not be copied from other websites, unless something specific is being quoted and in that case it should be made clear that it's a quotation.
# be written in a professional, scholarly manner, and should refrain from using sensationalist and extremist expressions and labels for maximum impact on the reader. Although it is very tempting to use dramatic and sensationalist language, it is best to let the evidence speak for itself. The same principle applies to humor and jokes. If you would like to contribute such articles to the wiki, please keep them confined to the Humor category. See the [[WikiIslam:Article Style and Content Guide|Article Style and Content Guide]] for details and examples.

With the exceptions of translations, content written by new editors should not exceed 30KB (page history shows the size). This helps existing editors to review your content and make sure it complies with guidelines before any more new work is done.

==Becoming a Regular Editor==

We understand that a newcomer on the site may not immediately understand how to make appropriate contributions. Our goal is to maximize user contributions, be fair and allow ample opportunities for users to receive feedback and improve their work so it is in compliance with the site guidelines.

In order to be a regular editor you should understand what the site is all about and the approach that is taken for criticism of Islam. Existing editors on the site will make every effort to initially guide you, but they do not have time to continually make corrections to your edits. If you are not able to take instructions and contribute to the site in an independent self-monitored way, it is best for you to not edit. However if you have suggestions of any kind or comments on an article, let us know on the [[WikiIslam:Forum/Ideas and Suggestions|Forum]] page. You can also work on Sandbox pages where you can create content that other users may use in the future and incorporate into the main content of the site.

When a user makes edits that need corrections, these corrections should be explained on the user's talk page and they need to respond acknowledging the message. After making two or three corrections for the same kinds of edits, if an editor still keeps making the same kinds of incorrect edits that have been explained on their talk page, simply revert future edits, ask them to see their talk page (in the edit summary) and consult other users and admins.
==Viewpoint==

At WikiIslam, one is not required to stick to a neutral viewpoint. However, we exhort you to use non-polemic and scholarly sources, and attribute statements wherever possible. Questionable or controversial statements without a source, or with a [[WikiIslam:Reliable_Sources#Sources_to_Avoid|polemic source]], may be removed in order to make our articles more reliable and worthwhile.

Potential contributors should also note that, unlike many other sites critical of Islam, WikiIslam is an international site with administrators, editors and contributors from all over the world. Our readership is also vast and not saturated by European or "Western" viewers, so our content should reflect this. Information on Islam in Asia or Africa is as important to us as information on Islam in Europe or the Americas.

==Making References==

See [[Help:Making References]] for a guide on how to cite general references, and see [[WikiIslam:Standardization]] for a guide on how to reference Islamic texts (Qur'an and hadith).

==User Names and Pages==
{{Main|WikiIslam:User Names and Pages}}

Usernames should be chosen appropriately and should not be offensive or inflammatory in any way. Active users with over 50 constructive edits are welcome to post links on their user-pages as long as they are not linking to hateful/racist/pornographic or otherwise illegal content.

==Discussions==
{{Main|WikiIslam:Talk Page Guidelines}}

The ''discussion'' pages for each article are there for discussing concerns directly relating to the article, such as inaccuracies, formatting and suggestions for further improvement. They are not there for debating the content of the article or for attacks on the site or users of the site. If your comment on an article's talk page does not directly relate to improving the article, it may be deleted without a response.

==Honorifics==
{{Main|WikiIslam:Honorifics}}

When discussing Muhammad, the first mention in an article and its conclusion should begin the qualifier, Prophet, i.e. "The Prophet Muhammad". The same applies to Jesus or Ganesha, i.e. "Jesus Christ" or "Lord Ganesha".

Addition honorifics such as "Muhammad (saw)" or "Allah (swt)" are not allowed in articles. The same applies to using an uppercase "H" in words such as "he", "him" or "her" in reference to a deity or Jesus. An exception to this rule would be the talk pages or pro-Islamic articles.

==Sources==
{{Main|WikiIslam:Reliable Sources}}

There are three types of sources:

===Primary Sources===

Primary sources are original materials, an artifact, a document, a recording, or other source of information that was created at the time under study. In an article about a book it would be the book itself. In the case of a person, it would be the subject itself. For the [[Qur'an]] and [[hadith]] we generally use the University of Southern California Muslim Students Association's [[Compendium of Muslim Texts]]. WikiIslam's criticism of Islam is based on its own sources, the Qur'an, hadith and Islamic scholars. So primary sources are not limited and may be freely used in articles.

===Secondary Sources===

Secondary sources are documents or recordings that relate or discuss information originally presented elsewhere. For example, a statement by a scholar about a certain battle in the history of Islam would be a secondary source. News articles that report on a development or an incident are also secondary sources. Statements of fact concerning Islam from polemic sources such as books, articles or commentaries by individuals such as Robert Spencer, Pamela Gellar, Mark A. Gabriel etc. are not to be used under any circumstances as references on WikiIslam. If you come across any such statements, remove them immediately.

===Tertiary Sources===
Tertiary sources are sources that rely upon primary and secondary sources. Unlike secondary sources, they attempt to provide a broad introductory overview of a topic. ''The New Encyclopedia of Islam'' would be an example. They may be used as well. There are a [http://www.ipl.org/div/subject/browse/ref32.00.00/ variety of encyclopedias].

==Wikipedia==

If you want to create a short summary of a topic that is already on Wikipedia or would like to approach the same topic from a different angle, please do so. However, the copy and pasting of articles from Wikipedia is not allowed for various reasons. If needed, you can link directly to Wikipedia by using the <nowiki>[[w:Target article|Text]]</nowiki> feature or <nowiki>{{</nowiki>wp|article name}}. Some exceptions to this rule are allowed; please contact an administrator if you wish to create a copy of a Wikipedia article. One exception where a copy paste is allowed is where a Wikipedia article is going to be deleted or has been deleted.

Images can usually be safely copied from Wikipedia if available. Before copying them please check there are no issues with their license tags. Also copy the license tag, or include in the summary that its a free image from Wikipedia. Templates can be copied if needed.

==Creating Content==

WikiIslam is not restricted to just being an encyclopedia of Islam. It is there for you to make use of in contributing and arranging information about Islam in many ways. For examples of what kind of articles you can write, look at the links on the [[Main Page]]. Here are some ideas for good and bad articles:

;Bad ideas:
* Anything not directly related to criticism of Islam
* Anything that is political rather than religious, such as immigration, multiculturalism, or the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
* An exact copy of a Wikipedia article

;Good ideas:
Practically anything that does not qualify for the ''bad ideas'' list. Just a few examples:
* Analysis of Islamic texts (Qur'an, hadiths and scholars)
* An essay or op-ed
* Expanding and wikifying a good forum post

==Images==

If an image adds value to an article and the loss of it would mean that people would not know something important, that image should be included.

Additional images used for 'illustration' purposes should not be used unless important information is being conveyed that could otherwise not be conveyed through text.

Images should be directly related to the article, i.e. they should not have a tenuous link to page content or be inserted for their shock or humor value.

If there are too many images related to a page, they can be moved to a gallery section or to a separate page (examples of both can be viewed [[List_of_Genuine_Islamic_Inventions_Innovations_Records_and_Firsts#Image_Gallery|here]] and [[Muhammad_Teddy_Bear_Blasphemy_-_Images|here]]).

Articles at WikiIslam are not judged on their shock value, so images within written articles should be tasteful. For example, in an article about [[stoning]], the least graphic image should be chosen. Or in an article about [[Diseases and Cures in the Wings of Houseflies|houseflies and bacteriophages]], an electron micrograph of bacteriophages should be chosen over the closeup image of a fly (which some people may find sickening).

==Style and Content Guidelines==
{{Main|WikiIslam:Article Style and Content Guide}}

Generally, an article should begin with a short introduction that summarizes the most important content of the article. It should also end with a conclusion that does the same. The conclusion can also repeat in short the most important references in the article.

==Copyrights==

When using text or images from another website, make sure that the material is not copyrighted. If it is, please ask permission from the original content owner(s) before using it.

Copyright holders may [[WikiIslam:Copyright Issues|contact WikiIslam]] to have their concerns addressed.

==Libel==

The goal of WikiIslam is to create an encyclopedic information source critical of Islam with all information being referenced through the citation of reliable published sources, so as to maintain a standard of verifiability.

For this reason, all contributors should recognize that it is ''their responsibility'' to ensure that material posted on WikiIslam is not defamatory. Libel or defamation is defined as the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may harm the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government or nation.

It is WikiIslam policy to delete libelous material when it has been identified. This policy applies to living people.

===Subject Guidelines===

If you believe that you are the subject of a libelous statement on WikiIslam, please [[WikiIslam:Contact Us|contact us]] with details of the article and error.

==Multilingual Sites==

All multilingual sites for WikiIslam are free to edit, administer and manage in any way their community likes (style or content) as long as our core guidelines are followed.

==Pro-Islamic Content==

Due to constant vandalism, disruptive editing, non-compliance with guidelines and a lack of time, we are currently not accepting pro-Islamic submissions. This change is only ''temporary'', and our present list of pro-Islamic articles can still be viewed [[:Category:Pro-Islamic Content|here]]. For debates and general discussions about Islam, please visit a forum (e.g. the [http://forum09.faithfreedom.org/ FFI forum]).
'''WikiIslam''' is a community edited [[websites|website]] which focuses on the critique of [[Islam]], whilst also allowing [[:Category:Pro-Islamic Content|pro-Islamic responses]] in separate articles. It is run on the same software that [[Wikipedia]] and other similar sites use.

==About==

WikiIslam's goal is to become the most comprehensive and accurate source of information on Islam. This information is based primarily on its own sources, the [[Qur'an]], [[hadith]] and Islamic scholars. It takes a rational approach in its handling of Islam and is notable for dealing extensively with [[Islam and Propaganda|false propaganda]] and [[Islam and Science|Islamic pseudoscience]].

The site aims to remain neutral towards other religions, world views, and issues of a political nature, such as immigration, multiculturalism, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and also to stay away from extremist, sensationalist or emotional commentary by simply letting the facts speak for themselves.

Contrary to what is sometimes claimed,<ref name="Criticism"></ref> the site [[WikiIslam:Reliable Sources#Sources to Avoid|exhorts editors]] to use non-polemic and scholarly secondary sources, and to attribute statements wherever possible. It makes copious use of authoritative primary and secondary pro-Islamic sources, such as the [[Compendium of Muslim Texts]], [[The History of al-Tabari]] and [[fatwa]]s from some of the most popular mainstream Islamic sites on the net.

It is an international site with editors and contributors from all over the world, and the policies and content reflect this. For example, editors are advised that no region should be given priority over another, and developments concerning Islam in [[Asia]] or [[Africa]] are as important as developments in [[Europe]] or the [[Americas]].

==History==

WikiIslam was created on October 27, 2005, in collaboration with various individuals from [[Faith Freedom International]] who provided the site with server space, technical help and exposure. The site remained in a testing phase for about a year and on September 4, 2006, it was opened to the public.

In September 2007, the server that hosted the site was hacked, and due to other server problems, editing was disabled at WikiIslam for almost a year.

In August 2008, the site was moved to a new server and since then it has been operating independently, remaining unaffiliated with or owned by any organization. Contrary to persistent claims propagated by apologists,<ref>For example, Sheila Musaji of [http://www.webcitation.org/query?url=http%3A%2F%2Ftheamericanmuslim.org%2Ftam.php%2Ffeatures%2Farticles%2Fali_sina%2F&date=2014-01-26 TheAmericanMuslim], who has been contacted but refuses to correct the error, claims WikiIslam is "run" by "Ali Sina and Faith Freedom" and "only prints material which is negative towards Islam." Both claims are wrong. WikiIslam hosts many [[:Category:Pro-Islamic Content|pro-Islamic articles]] written by Muslim editors.</ref> WikiIslam is not owned by [[Ali Sina]], FFI, Robert Spencer, [[Jihad Watch]] or any other organization.<ref>Note that neither of these individuals or their websites are considered reliable sources at WikiIslam. According to [[WikiIslam:Reliable_Sources#Other_Sources_2|WikiIslam:Reliable Sources]], ''"Statements of fact concerning Islam from polemic sources such as books, articles or commentaries by individuals such as Robert Spencer, Pamela Gellar, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Mark A. Gabriel, Wafa Sultan, Ali Sina, Walid Shoebat, Brigitte Gabriel etc. are not to be used under any circumstances as references on WikiIslam. If you come across any such statements, remove them immediately."''</ref>

==Reception==

===Non-Muslims===

In December 2006, Göran Larsson presented a paper on WikiIslam at a conference in [[Sweden]]. At that point in time, the site was barely out of its infancy, only having been open to the public for three months, and Larsson was very critical. Today, with its new policies, new guidelines, thousands of more pages and the inclusion of pro-Islamic content aimed at presenting a positive image of Islam, WikiIslam remains the same only in name. But even back then in its primitive form, Larsson admitted that he could not label all the site "Islamophobic" in nature.<ref>Göran Larsson, [http://www.springerlink.com/content/p02g0g86387j4t62/ "Cyber-Islamophobia? The case of WikiIslam"], Contemporary Islam: Volume 1, Number 1, 53-67, DOI: 10.1007/s11562-007-0002-2</ref>

Contrary to what is sometimes claimed,<ref name="Criticism"></ref> WikiIslam has not received any attention from news agencies such as the Associated Press (AP); however, its non-partisan approach to criticism has led to the site being linked to or referenced by various notable sites such as ''RichardDawkins.net''<ref>[{{Reference archive|1=http://richarddawkins.net/links?page=5|2=2012-02-07}} "About/ Links"], RichardDawkins.net, accessed February 7, 2012.</ref> and ''GreenProphet.com''.<ref>{{cite web|url= http://www.greenprophet.com/2011/12/rain-prayers-sunny-friday/|title= Muslim President Calls for Rain Prayers on Sunny Friday|publisher= Green Prophet|author= Tafline Laylin|date= December 28, 2011|archiveurl= http://www.webcitation.org/query?url=http://www.greenprophet.com/2011/12/rain-prayers-sunny-friday/&date=2012-02-07|deadurl=no}}</ref> It has also been cited by Dr. Heather Deegan in her book, ''Africa Today: Culture, Economics, Religion, Security'',<ref>{{cite web|url= http://www.amazon.com/Africa-Today-Economics-Religion-Security/dp/0415418844/|title= Africa Today: Culture, Economics, Religion, Security|publisher= Routledge|author= Heather Deegan|date=December 26, 2008 |page= 100|isbn= 978-0415418843|archiveurl= http://www.webcitation.org/query?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FAfrica-Today-Economics-Religion-Security%2Fdp%2F0415418844%2F&date=2013-07-20|deadurl=no}}</ref> Prof. Carlos Brebbia in his book, ''Disaster Management and Human Health Risk III: Reducing Risk, Improving Outcomes'',<ref>{{cite web|url= http://www.amazon.com/Disaster-Management-Human-Health-Risk/dp/1845647386|title= Disaster Management and Human Health Risk III: Reducing Risk, Improving Outcomes|publisher= Wit Pr/Computational Mechanics|author= C. ===Muslims===

Due to the focus of the site, the most noticeable reactions from Muslims has been negative.<ref name="Criticism">For responses to various criticisms of WikiIslam, visit the ''[http://islamo-criticism.blogspot.com/p/criticism-of-wikiislam.html Criticism of WikiIslam]'' section of the ''[http://islamo-criticism.blogspot.com/ IslamoCriticism]'' blog.</ref> Some have called for the site to be taken offline through illegal means such as hacking,<ref>''"Someone needs to shut it down. any hackers out here?"'' - [{{Reference archive|1=http://www.ummah.com/forum/showthread.php?365182-Solving-the-Wiki-islam-problem|2=2013-05-24}} Solving the Wiki-islam problem], DamirK, Ummah Forum, May 24, 2013.</ref><ref>''"Its sad, Saudi have hackers who can hack and take down a lot of crap stuff on the internet but they never seem to notice what should be taken care of."'' - [http://lostinriyadh.blogspot.com/2012/03/for-my-readers-in-saudi-infact-for.html For my readers in Saudi, infact for anyone], LostInRiyadh.blogspot.com (comment by Dentographer, March 4, 2012)</ref> and it had previously been [[Websites Censored by Islamic Governments|banned]] in [[Saudi Arabia]] on the country's [[pornography]] blacklist, even though the site contains nothing of a pornographic nature.<ref>A screenshot can be viewed [[:File:Wikiislam com-aug-2011-ksa.png|here]]</ref>
Constant vandalism, death-threats, and non-compliance with guidelines by Muslim editors has lead to WikiIslam, like the German Wikipedia, implementing “[[WikiIslam:Pending Changes Protection|pending-changes protection]]”, meaning that editing still remains open to all, including IP users, but changes have to be approved before becoming visible to readers.

However, due to WikiIslam's extensive use of authoritative primary and secondary pro-Islamic sources, the site has also received praise from Muslims, e.g. for its [[Sex Segregation in Islam]]<ref>"''I usually wouldn't endorse a site like this, but in this case all of the sources were referenced in great detail.''" - [http://www.facebook.com/notes/abdul-malik-merchant/women-traveling-and-free-mixing-in-islam-/216934245018326 Women: Traveling and free-mixing in Islam …], Abdul-Malik Merchant, Student at Umm al-Qura University, Mecca, Saudi Arabia, July 13, 2011.</ref> and [[List of Killings Ordered or Supported by Muhammad]]<ref>"''In fact mockery is the main cause of executions ordered by our prophet (Sm)...i already told it to @RiasatKhan .. here is the link though its an anti islam site... but the historical facts / causes of execution mentioned there are reliable..look 4 Yellow colors, they were executed for mockery. WikiIslam hosts {{NUMBEROFARTICLES}} articles. On average, it currently receives over 250,000 visitors a month generating about 500,000 page views. As of October 2013, Alexa.com places it within the top 70,000 most visited websites.<ref>{{cite web|url= http://www.webcitation.org/query?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.alexa.com%2Fsiteinfo%2Fwww.wikiislam.net&date=2013-10-19|title= Wikiislam.net|publisher= Alexa.com|author= |date= accessed October 19, 2013|archiveurl= |deadurl=no}}</ref>

Unlike many other sites critical of Islam, WikiIslam's audience is not "Eurocentric". The majority of its readers are from Eastern or Muslim-majority nations such as [[Pakistan]], [[Bangladesh]], [[India]], [[Malaysia]], [[Egypt]], [[United Arab Emirates]], and [[Singapore]].<ref>[{{Reference archive|1=http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/www.wikiislam.net|2=2011-11-28}} "Wikiislam.net/ Audience"], Alexa.com, accessed November 28, 2011.</ref> Likewise, many of the site's administrators and editors are from a Muslim background or are skeptics from Muslim majority nations.

The site is currently [[WikiIslam:Join the Team#Ways_To_Help_Us|looking for editors]] to translate some of their English articles into Indonesian, Urdu, Bengali and [[Arabic]]. There are translations from English already available at the site in [[:Category:Other_Languages|several languages]], including [[Azərbaycanca Yazılar - Articles in Azerbaijani|Azerbaijani]], [[Les articles en francais - Articles in French|French]], [[:Category:Türkçe (Turkish)|Turkish]] and [[Ozbekcha maqolalar - Articles in Uzbek|Uzbek]].
WikiIslam's primary focus is on the religion of Islam while Wikipedia is a compendium of general knowledge. These differing goals have led to different policies and guidelines.

Wikipedia discourages the use of primary and what they term as "non-notable/reliable" sources. WikiIslam, on the other hand, encourages the use of authentic primary religious text and the rulings of authoritative Muslim scholars who may not be notable to people outside of the Muslim world but who are giants from within.

Wikipedia focuses on "verifiability, not truth".<ref>[{{Reference archive|1=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability,_not_truth|2=2012-02-10}} "Verifiability, not truth"], Wikipedia, accessed February 10, 2012.</ref> In regards to Islam, it has meant they accept what "notable/reliable" western commentators say about its religious text and Muslims over what the religious text and Muslims actually say themselves. Conversely, WikiIslam accepts what the religious text and Muslims say over the opinions and interpretations of third-party western commentators.
